Saigontourist Travel Strengthens Vietnam Tourism Promotion in Australia and New Zealand

August 2026 – Saigontourist Travel, a member of Saigontourist Group, has stepped up its international tourism promotion activities in Australia and New Zealand, strengthening strategic partnerships across the tourism, hospitality, and digital communications sectors.

The initiatives were carried out in conjunction with the State Visit to Australia and New Zealand by General Secretary and President To Lam and the high-level Vietnamese delegation in August 2026, creating new opportunities to connect Vietnamese tourism businesses with leading partners in both markets.

As part of the programs, Saigontourist Travel signed and exchanged cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with partners in Australia and New Zealand, reinforcing its commitment to expanding Vietnam's international tourism network and developing two-way travel between the destinations.

Strengthening Strategic Partnerships in Australia and New Zealand

In Australia, Saigontourist Travel expanded cooperation with Queen Tours, AVTIP (Australia Vietnam Trade and Investment Promotion Pty Ltd), and POWERHOUSE Tourism.

In New Zealand, the company strengthened its partnership network through cooperation with Distinction Hotels Group, a leading New Zealand-owned and operated hospitality group.

These partnerships provide a stronger foundation for developing new tourism products, expanding distribution networks, enhancing destination marketing, and creating more opportunities for travelers from Australia and New Zealand to discover Vietnam.

Promoting Vietnam as a Premium Travel Destination

According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Y Yen, Chairman of the Members' Council of Saigontourist Travel, Australia and New Zealand are strategically important markets with significant potential for increasing two-way tourism and promoting Vietnam as an attractive international destination.

Building on the new cooperation agreements, Saigontourist Travel and its partners will explore and implement initiatives focusing on:

  • Expanding the Vietnam–Australia and Vietnam–New Zealand tourism markets
  • Developing diverse and high-quality Vietnam travel products and packages
  • Promoting premium holidays, leisure and cultural experiences
  • Expanding MICE and incentive travel opportunities
  • Developing products for luxury and high-value travelers
  • Enhancing digital marketing and technology applications in tourism promotion
  • Strengthening destination communications and customer engagement across digital platforms

Through these initiatives, Saigontourist Travel aims to offer international visitors more personalized and authentic ways to experience Vietnam—from cultural and heritage journeys to beach holidays, culinary experiences, luxury travel, and tailor-made itineraries.

Expanding Inbound and Outbound Travel Opportunities

The strengthened partnerships are expected to generate benefits in both directions.

For inbound tourism to Vietnam, Saigontourist Travel will work with Australian and New Zealand partners to introduce more Vietnamese destinations and travel experiences to international travelers, while improving service quality and developing products tailored to the preferences of these markets.

At the same time, Vietnamese travelers will gain access to a wider range of professionally organized Australia and New Zealand tours, including leisure holidays, premium travel experiences, cultural discovery, MICE programs, and tailor-made itineraries.

This two-way approach supports Saigontourist Travel's broader strategy of connecting Vietnam with the global tourism market and creating long-term value for travelers and international partners.

Digital Innovation and the Future of Tourism Promotion

An important focus of the new partnerships is the increased use of digital technology and online communications in tourism marketing.

By combining Saigontourist Travel's extensive tourism expertise and product portfolio with the local market knowledge and networks of international partners, the cooperation aims to create more effective ways of reaching travelers, promoting destinations, and responding to changing travel trends.

Digital platforms will play an increasingly important role in introducing Vietnam's destinations, experiences, and tourism products to potential travelers across Australia and New Zealand.

Connecting Vietnam with Australia and New Zealand Through Tourism

The expansion of Saigontourist Travel's partner network in Australia and New Zealand demonstrates the company's proactive approach to international market development and global tourism cooperation.

The initiatives also contribute to strengthening tourism, cultural, and people-to-people connections between Vietnam, Australia, and New Zealand, while supporting the international promotion of Vietnam as a safe, diverse, and experience-rich destination.

The activities were implemented as part of tourism promotion and business connection programs marking the 35th anniversary of Vietnam Airlines' aviation and tourism connectivity between Vietnam and Australia, further contributing to stronger cooperation in tourism, culture, trade, and travel between the countries.

With its growing international partner network and expertise in Inbound Travel, Outbound Travel, MICE, luxury tourism, and tailor-made travel, Saigontourist Travel continues to connect Vietnam with travelers around the world and create new opportunities for memorable journeys across the region.
