A special stop is made at Stall No. 866, one of the market’s well-known wooden clog stalls, where visitors can observe the traditional craft of making wooden clogs.

Learn about wooden clogs as an iconic part of Vietnamese fashion, particularly when worn with the ao dai. The artisan introduces the main elements of a pair of wooden clogs: wooden sole – straps – size – shape – assembly and finishing techniques. Visitors can watch the artisan demonstrate how the clogs are shaped and finished.
