Our tour provides close-up looks at small-village life along the river particularly during your time spent at a local family’s homestead, where you’ll be invited to enjoy fresh coconuts and fiery Mekong Delta whisky. Itinerary

8:00 . Group gathering

Early in the morning, our guide will meet you at your hotel’s lobby and bring you by car to our speedboat at Bach Dang pier.

8:20 . Breakfast time

Then you will depart Saigon by speedboat. Within 15 minutes, the banks of the river change from city sprawl to lush jungle. A light breakfast of sandwiches or pastries, fresh tropical fruits and Vietnamese iced coffee (Ca phe sua da) is served, as your guide explains rural traditions and aspects of riverbank life.

8:45 - 9:30 . Local market

10:45 . Coconuts and Mekong whisky.

Turn off the delta into small, winding canals of the Thu Thua area to visit a traditional farmhouse where you’ll sample coconuts and Mekong whisky.

Enjoy a traditional Mekong Delta lunch at a local pagoda prepared by our private chef. After lunch, you will visit an orphanage run by Buddhist monks.
