Vietnam Updates Entry Requirements at Tan Son Nhat International Airport: Pre-Arrival Declaration Now Mandatory for International Travelers


Who Needs to Complete the Declaration?
The new regulation applies to:
  • Foreign passport holders entering Vietnam
  • Overseas Vietnamese travelers using a visa to enter Vietnam
Exemptions:
Vietnamese passport holders
Transit passengers (not entering Vietnam)

What Has Changed?
Under official guidance from the Vietnam Immigration Authority, travelers in the above categories must now:
  • Submit personal information before arrival in Vietnam
  • Present a QR code confirmation upon successful submission
  • Show this QR code to immigration officers at TSN upon arrival
This requirement is part of an updated immigration control process designed to improve efficiency and reduce waiting times at the airport.

How to Complete the Pre-Arrival Declaration
Passengers can choose one of the following methods:

1. Online Submission
Complete the form via the official portal:

2. QR Code Access
Scan the official QR code (available from April 15, 2026) to access the declaration form quickly on mobile devices.
