Within the framework of the reinforcement existing ties between the University of Adelaide and the partner Universities in Vietnam, Saigontourist Travel Service Company is proud to be the travel agency that organizes and undertakes tour serving for thirty-three students and seven professors from Adelaide attending the New Colombo Plan (NCP) Study tour from 16 September to 03 October 2022.
The New Colombo Plan (NCP) study tour on Sustainable Water Management is sponsored by the University of Adelaide’s Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology. It enables Australian students to study and collaborate with partner universities in Vietnam including Can Tho University, Ho Chi Minh International University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Ho Chi Minh University of Technology (HCMUT), and Ho Chi Minh University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE).
“By studying in Vietnam our NCP students are developing a global perspective in their academic field while increasing their knowledge of the Indo-Pacific region,” said Dr Gallagher.
Students will broaden their knowledge of Vietnam by connecting with local industry and culture. This will provide them with an unprecedented learning experience.
The NCP Sustainable Water Management study tour provides a unique opportunity for their engineering students, from one of the driest regions in the world, to exchange intercultural perspectives from peers from one of the wettest regions of the world, on how to use water sustainably.
The NCP study tour also includes cultural learning with field trips to some of the most stunning tourist destinations in Vietnam such as Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoa Binh, Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh City.
The University of Adelaide will sign two new articulation agreements during their study tour to Vietnam. These will give bachelor students in business and finance from the Vietnam National University – University of Economics and Business and the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, the opportunity to undertake part of their studies in Adelaide – one of Australia’s most liveable cities.
