The Fansipan is located in Hoang Lien Mountain Range, and the tallest mountain in the three Indochinese countries of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, thus the sacred convergence of the heaven and the earth, long coined as the “Roof of Indochina” at the height of 3,143m. Topping the Fansipan is always a desire for outdoor enthusiasts and those with itchy feet.
Arrive at Sun World Fansipan Legend cable car station (located at the base of Fansipan Mountain, approx. 3km from Sapa town center). Optional: Take the Muong Hoa Mountain Train (not included) for a scenic ride from Sapa town to the cable car departure station. Present your combo ticket at the gate and enter the boarding area
Board the cable car and begin a stunning 15–20 minute journey. Admire breathtaking views of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, terraced rice fields, and Muong Hoa Valley. The ride spans over 6,292 meters and climbs to 3,000+ meters above sea level
Upon arrival at the upper station, explore the Fansipan spiritual complex, walk or take the funicular (extra cost) for the final ascent to the Fansipan Peak (3,143m) – “The Roof of Indochina”. Take photos at the iconic summit monument and enjoy the panoramic mountain view
After descending from the summit area, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at Van Sam Restaurant. Over 50 dishes including local specialties, Vietnamese favorites, and vegetarian options. Comfortable mountain-view setting for relaxing and recharging
Take the return cable car ride back to the lower station. Optional: Return to Sapa town by Muong Hoa train or shuttle (own arrangement)
