Departing by boat from Ho Chi Minh City, you will explore areas of the Mekong Delta that few other tourists get to experience. Visiting a Cao Dai temple, Buddhist pagoda, river market and so much more. Bursting with charming local color and scenic views. Travel by modern speedboat and enjoy countless photo opportunities of the idyllic scenery and local people as you cruise past buffaloes plowing fields, fruit orchards and rice paddies during our Mekong Delta tour. Our tour provides close-up looks at small-village life along the river particularly during your time spent at a local family’s homestead, where you’ll be invited to enjoy fresh coconuts and fiery Mekong Delta whisky. You will have a traditional Mekong Delta lunch including fried elephant ear fish, a delicious specialty of the region, at a local house!

Itinerary

8:00 . Group gathering - Tour with guide
Early in the morning, our guide will meet you at your hotel’s lobby and bring you by car to our speedboat at Bach Dang pier.
8:20 . Breakfast time - Tour with guide
Then you will depart Saigon by speedboat. Within 15 minutes, the banks of the river change from city sprawl to lush jungle. A light breakfast of sandwiches or pastries, fresh tropical fruits and Vietnamese iced coffee (Ca phe sua da) is served, as your guide explains rural traditions and aspects of riverbank life.
8:45 - 9:30 . Local market - Tour with guide
Enjoy a brief stop at the ornate Visit a riverside market
10:45 . Coconuts and Mekong whisky. - Tour with guide
Turn off the delta into small, winding canals of the Thu Thua area to visit a traditional farmhouse where you’ll sample coconuts and Mekong whisky.
11:00 . Lunch time - Tour with guide
Enjoy a traditional Mekong Delta lunch at a local pagoda prepared by our private chef. After lunch, you will visit an orphanage run by Buddhist monks.
13:30 . Tranquil visit - Tour with guide
Visit a colorful Cao Dai Temple.
14:30 . Return - Tour with guide
Return to the speedboat and depart for
16:00 . Tour finish - Tour with guide
Arrive back in Saigon. Drop off at hotels

- Within 24 hours before departure time: 40% of the tour fare.
- Last-minute or no-show: 100% of the tour fare.
