Highlights

The winding road along Viet Nam's coastline connecting the country's important cities and towns has borne witness to many twists and turns in the recent history. Built in the 18th century by Vietnamese soldiers and mandarins, from which its name derived, the road takes you from the historical and cultural treasures of Ha Noi to World Heritages sites in Phong Nha, Hue, Hoi An, from the pristine beaches of Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet to the swinging traffic and hectic business pace of Ho Chi Minh City. You will also have a chance to set foot on the legendary Ho Chi Minh Road, or the previously-so-called Ho Chi Minh trail) and interact with hospitable local people as well as landscape that are exotic beyond imagination.

Itinerary

Day 1 . Ho Chi Minh City – Phan Thiet - Tour with guide
Pick up and transfer to Phan Thiet via a rubber and dragon-fruit plants en route. Arrive in Phan Thiet City. Transfer to the hotel. Afternoon, city tour to visit sand dunes and enjoy swimming at Mui Ne Beach. Overnight in Phan Thiet.
Day 2 . Phan Thiet – Nha Trang (B) - Tour with guide
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning, free at leisure for swimming or relaxing on the beach. Afternoon, transfer to Nha Trang via Ca Na Beach and Po Klong Gia Rai Cham Towers in Phan Rang Town. Arrive in Nha Trang. Free at leisure. Overnight in Nha Trang.
Day 3 . Nha Trang (B) - Tour with guide

Day 6 . Hoi An – My Son – Hoi An (B) - Tour with guide
Breakfast at hotel. Morning city tour to visit Hoi An ancient Town with Japanese covered Bridge, Chinese Conference Halls, Phung Hung Ancient House, market, shops. Afternoon, visit My Son Sanctuary, ancient Capital of Cham Kingdom during the 7th to the 13th century. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 7 . Hoi An – Da Nang – Hue (B) - Tour with guide
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning, transfer to Da Nang to visit Marble Mountains, Cham Museum, Non Nuoc beach. Afternoon, transfer to Hue via Hai Van tunnel and Lang Co lagoon en route. Arrive in Hue. Free at leisure. Overnight in Hue.
Day 8 . Hue (B) - Tour with guide
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning, take a boat cruise on Huong River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda and ending up at Tomb of King Minh Mang. Afternoon, visit Tomb of King Tu Duc and King Khai Dinh. Overnight in Hue.

Day 10 . Dong Hoi - Phong Nha - Vinh (B) - Tour with guide
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning, visit Thien Duong Cave, formed about 250 million years ago and recognized as World Natural Heritage site. Afternoon, overland to Vinh City. Free at leisure. Overnight in Vinh.
Day 11 . Vinh – Ninh Binh – Ha Noi (B) - Tour with guide
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning, transfer to Ninh Binh to visit Dinh & Le dynasty temples in Hoa Lu. Afternoon, transfer to Ha Noi. Overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 12 . Ha Noi (B) - Tour with guide
Breakfast at the hotel. Full day city tour to visit Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and Museum, House on Stilts, One-Pillared Pagoda, History Museum, West Lake, Quan Thanh Temples and Tran Quoc Pagoda. Enjoy water puppet show. Overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 13 . Ha Noi – Ha Long (B) - Tour with guide
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning, visit Literature Temple, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and take 01-hour pedicab ride to the Old Quarters. Afternoon, transfer to Ha Long. Arrive in Ha Long City. Free at leisure. Overnight in Ha Long.

Day 15 . Ha Long – Ha Noi (B) - Tour with guide
Breakfast on cruise. Continue visit Ha Long until return to Ha Long City. Pick up and transfer back to Ha Noi via Dong Trieu Pottery Village en route. Arrive in Ha Noi. Free at leisure. Overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 16 . Ha Noi – Departure (B) - Tour with guide
