The Ministry of Health has decided to temporarily halt the mandatory medical declaration previously required for foreign arrivals, starting April 27.
Foreign entrants to Viet Nam now are only required to test negative for COVID-19 before departure.
Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long said medical declaration requirements for domestic traveling would also soon be removed, though a specific deadline has yet to be announced.
In August 2020, the Ministry of Health issued a protocol known as 5K message to contain the spread of Covid-19 namely wearing masks, disinfecting their hands frequently, keeping a safe distance from each other, avoiding crowds and making health declarations./.
