Saigontourist Travel has officially launched its first helicopter tour known as “Ho Chi Minh City From Above", with tickets being put up for sale on April 23 at a price of roughly USD 215 per person.
The move comes following Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism co-ordinating with the Military Hospital 175 and the Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company, as well as a number of travel agencies to carry out a survey in order to design a new tourism product for the southern metropolis.
Saigontourist Travel has officially opened helicopter tours, with the first pilot flight being conducted on April 29. The preferential price on the first flight stands at only VND 4,939,000 per person for a 40-minute journey, with this passing through places like Aeon Mall Tan Phu - Aeon Mall Binh Tan, RMIT, Phu My Bridge, Thu Thiem Bridge, Landmark 81, and the Binh Quoi tourist site.
The tour will use AW-189 helicopter that allows a maximum 16 passengers and EC-155 B1 one that allows a maximum 12 passengers.
After the pilot flights, there will be more options for tourists, with a flexible flight time ranging between 20 minutes and 80 minutes.
Furthermore, visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy scenic views of Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve, Canh Dong Bat Tan (Endless Fields) - Tan Lap Floating Village, and Long An from above.
